Jimmy Horton

Jimmy Horton, 88, of Moulton passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. The graveside service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Moulton Memory Gardens with his friend, Ronald Thrasher officiating. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on October 4, 1933 to the late Fred and Maggie Mae Lafever Horton, Jimmy enjoyed golfing and worked at the Citizens Bank for many years. A graduate of the University of Alabama, he met his wife of 56 years, Melvie, while there. She passed away on August 24, 2020.

Jimmy had no immediate family surviving.

The family extends special thanks to his nurses and the staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital and to the many others who helped with his medical care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
