AJ Borden, 71 years old, of Moulton passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Madison Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on July 6, 2020 at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. William Talley Officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Church Cemetery.
Born April 27, 1949 to Fred Ervin and Maudie Lee Cagle Borden, AJ loved his family, children, grandchildren, friends and was a family man that enjoyed life. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and truly loved his church and church family. AJ was an excellent truck driver for over forty years. He loved to fish and have family get togethers with fish fries. He enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, visiting Harville’s Garage and socializing.
Survivors include his wife of Fifty four years, Fay Hill Borden; one daughter; Amy Kirk (Gary), two sons; Michael Borden and Shannon Borden (Kayla), three brothers; Arlis Borden (Mary Lou), Jack Borden (Carolyn) and Johnny Borden (Debbie), two sisters; Shirley Burns and Linda Robinson, seven grandchildren; Cody Terry, (Michelle Cooper), Zach Borden, Tim Hamilton, Whitney Cook (Matt), Dillon Hamilton, Hunter Borden and Brookelyn Borden, eight great grandchildren, Brayden Cook, Braylee Cook, Brynslee Cook, Josie Cook, Presley Borden, Hannah Cooper, Lexie Hamilton and Bayne Hamilton.
AJ was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Maudie Lee Borden, two sisters, Mildred Baker and Christine Parker, and one grandchild; Tara McKinzie Borden.
The family extends special thanks to Lawrence County Home Health and staff of 5th floor ICU unit of Madison Hospital.
