Angie Sullivan Fowler, 53, of Moulton passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Lawrence Medical Center. Due to the COVID-19 concerns, the family is requesting that everyone follow very strict precautions, including masks and social distancing. Visitation will be from 5 till 8 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Parkway Church of God. The funeral service will be at 12 noon on Saturday, January 2 at the church with Rev. Curtis Silcox, Rev. Rick Bradley, and Bishop Terry Hart officiating. Angie will lie in state from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will be in Fayette Memorial Gardens with Lawrence Funeral Home assisting the family.
Born on August 8, 1967 to the late Elmer Sullivan and Ruth Tingle Sullivan, Angie was a graduate of Northside High School and she attended Shelton State College and Lee College. She served as First Lady of Parkway Church of God in Moulton and she enjoyed cooking, singing and playing the piano, being “Gram” to her grandchildren, and decorating her home for Christmas.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Rev. Neal Fowler; children, Leah Benson (Aron), Nathan Fowler, and Adam Denny (Ashley); grandchildren, Hanaleigh Benson, Declan Benson, and Aden Denny; mother, Ruth Sullivan; brothers, Glenn Sullivan (Dale), Randy Sullivan (Rita), and Darrell Sullivan; and sister, Sherry Jones (Mike).
Angie was preceded in death by her father; infant child, Adrian Fowler; grandparents, Edgar and Jessie Sullivan and Gordon and Elmina Tingle; and sister-in-law, Vickey Sullivan.
Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Jon Jones, Matthew Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Jacob Sullivan, Brix Lee, Chris Hawkins, and Darman Wallace. Honorary pallbearers are Members of Guin Church of God, Eufaula Church of God, The Sanctuary Church of God, Crumley's Chapel Church of God, and Parkway Church of God. Angie’s Armor Bearers are Shirley McCoy, Kathy Cagle, Lisa Harris, Belinda Wilkins, Michele Nelson, Kathy Hicks, Kim Smith, Abigail Arnold, Melanie Riley, Leigh Ann Stewart, Krista Teague, Wanda Segler, Charlotte Farris, and Darvon Wallace.
The family extends special thanks to her caretakers at Lawrence Medical Center and the Ambulance Service along with the staff at Lawrence Funeral Home for their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkway Church of God Building Fund.
