Anna DeVaney

Anna Mae DeVaney, 86, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at NHC of Moulton. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the funeral home with Bro. Wayne Dotson officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Cemetery.

Born on October 4, 1938 to the late Tommy and Myrtie Dutton Montgomery, Anna was a member of Owen Chapel Church. She loved cooking for her family and watching western movies.

Survivors include her daughters, Shelia Moats, and Rachel Rutherford; sister, Judy Strickland; brother, Lamon Montgomery; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Kennard DeVaney; parents; son, Johnny Yates; sister, Marie Montgomery; brothers, Carlos Montgomery, Wallace Montgomery, and Ollis Montgomery.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Hood, Steve DeVaney, Scott DeVaney, Jeremy Peek, Temple Montgomery, and Justin Dutton.

The family extends special thanks to the NHC nurses and staff; Bridgette Hood and Keith Glass with North Alabama Hospice; and Dr. Rex Tuckier.
