April Melson

April Denise Melson, 54, of Moulton, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Lawrence Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 05, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Robbie Darnell officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Church Cemetery.

Born on March 11, 1970 to Jack and Patricia Hill Prater, April was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She put God first in every situation, nothing came before God. April lived for her daughter and grandchildren. She was so proud of them and wanted everyone to know they were her pride and joy. April spent all of her life doing for everyone else, never for herself. She was the definition of an angel on earth. She was patient, kind, forgiving, and loved instantly without judgment. April loved like God does. Her blue eyes captivated you and gave such a safe place for everyone who met her. April will most certainly be missed but no one who had the honor of knowing her will ever forget her.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Michael Glenn Melson; daughter, Lashawn Webster; grandchildren, Micarlie Gower, and Dakota Webster; parents; sisters, Sindy Prater Masny, and Alicia Basinger; brother, Nathan Prater; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Jack Prater, Nathan Prater, Brandon Melson, Brian Shultz, Shannon Shultz, Dalton Melson, and Bentley Melson.
