Bennie Appleton

Bennie Thomas Appleton, 77, of Florence, Alabama passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at his residence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Graveside service will be at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Fergason cemetery in Town Creek, AL with Bro. Larry Davis officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on February 10, 1945, to Harold and Lucille Appleton, Bennie enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and yelling ROLL TIDE. He was a lifetime member of Owen Chapel Baptist Church where he was a deacon. Mr. Appleton worked at Solutia for 36 years.

Survivors include his son, Chad Appleton (Deena) of Florence; six grandchildren, Wesley, Rachael, Dylan, Daniel, Kalena, and Bentley; two sisters, Linda Mayhall, and Angela Little; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lucille Appleton; wife, Sue Appleton; and brother, Jerry Appleton.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Biffle, Dylan Biffle, Daniel Biffle, Chris Rutherford, Brandon Coan, Cody Wilson.

The family extends special thanks to Enhabit Hospice, and nurse Kaylee Noles.
