Betty Landers

Our Loving Mother, Betty Bruton Landers, 83 years old of Town Creek, went to Heaven to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 10, 2017. Leaving behind a whole host of family and friends whom she loved dearly. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She always had a beautiful smile and a welcoming spirit for those who visited her home.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 11:00 - 12:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral with the funeral following at 12:00 PM in Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel and Ron Edgil officiating. Burial will be in Fergason Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurnie Landers; her parents, Emmit Thomas Bruton and Viola Woodard Bruton; one brother, Tommy Bruton; and one sister, Eloween Gist.
Mrs. Landers is survived by two daughters, Joan Jefferys (Steve) of Decatur and Jan Lowery (Phillip) of Hatton; five grandchildren, Paige West (Paul), Corey Lowery, Jessica Lowery, Jeremy Jefferys (Erica) and Jayna McCutcheon; 10 great grandchildren, Zach, Tristan and Zeke Lowery, Houston and Carley McCutcheon, Sawyer Jefferys, Connor West, Carson and Mylie Lowery and Jaiden Hokett.
Pallbearers will be Paul West, Corey Lowery, Jeremy Jefferys, Houston McCutcheon, Jamie Harris, Russell Gist and Slick Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
