Billy Daniel

Billy Wayne “Cowboy” Daniel, 75, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the funeral home with Landon Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Cowboy loved singing and playing his guitar.

Survivors include his children, Samuel Wayne Daniel, Sherri Parker Hobbs, and Lisa Parker Steeples (Mark); five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Terry (Dwight), Margrette Hurst, Vickie Lauderdale, and Shelia Pearson (Randy); and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Cowboy was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Parker Daniel; parents, Samuel and Lillian Terry Daniel; daughter, Belinda Parker; and sisters, Virginia Daniel, Shirley Sparks, Lola Dishon, Judy Kelly and Samantha Daniel.

Pallbearers will be Faron Terry, Thomas Haynes, Jonas Hobbs, Anthony Steeples, Wendell Owens, and Mark Steeples. Honorary pallbearers will be Otis Cartee and Samuel Daniel.

The family extends special thanks to Nicole Romans for helping take care of Cowboy.
