Bobby Ray Talley Sr.
Bobby Ray Talley, Sr., 79, of Moulton passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his home. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Jones Chapel Cemetery with Wayne Sutton officiating.
Born on October 12, 1940 to the late Jim and Velma Talley, Bobby attended Burkburnett High School and was a veteran of the US Army serving between 1957 to 1960. He drove a truck for around 40 years and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Anniston, Alabama. Bobby enjoyed playing cards, fishing, shooting guns and especially being with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Raynell “Nell” Thornton Talley; children, Bobby Ray Talley, Jr. (Angie), Donald Ray Talley (Vanessa), and Dawn Talley Quillen (Michael); grandchildren, Logan Talley, Hunter Talley (Shalesha), Brooke Rikard (Matthew), Austin Talley (Alexis), Dakota Nolen, Aleesha Talley, and Brianna Talley; great grandchildren, Cooper Talley, Raelee Talley, Ryker Talley and Ronan Talley; sisters, Peggy Adams (Pete) and Alice Bishop (Joe); and many nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Talley, Jr.; and sisters, Josephine Talley, Elsie Smith (Jerry), Sarah Chacon (Paul), and Shirley Miller.
Pallbearers will be Logan Talley, Hunter Talley, Austin Talley, Jeremy Long, Nick Reno and Matthew Rikard. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Matheny and Bruce Matheny.
The family extends special thanks to the nursing staff of Keller Hospice and friends and family who helped take care of Bobby.
