Brenda Rutherford

Brenda "Baby Bull" Rutherford, 68, of Danville, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the funeral home with Bro. Tommy Kirby officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Garden.

Born on February 26, 1955 to the late Melvin and Rachel Powers Wallace, Baby Bull loved her plants, flowers, and The Golden Girls. She was a waitress at Greenbriar BBQ for 30 years then at McCollum's Catfish for ten.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Burl Rutherford; son, Lavearl (Karen) Rutherford, of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Tyler Rutherford, Kaden Rutherford, Brittany Luke, and Emalee Hammon; sisters, Clovis Osborn, June Osborn, and Beck (Junior) Dishon; brothers, Nathan (Sis) Wallace, and Blue (Tammy) Wallace; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family, along with her five barking kids (Chihuahuas).

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Wallace.

Pallbearers will be Lavearl Rutherford, Tyler Rutherford, Shane Smith, Dustin Osborn, Allen Osborn, and Carson Dishon.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital, especially her ICU nurses.
