Cathy Nelms

Cathy Sapp Nelms, 72, of Trinity passed away Wednesday, December 22. 2021 at Her residence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Sunday , December 26, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Gary Ashley officiating. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery.

Born October 26, 1949 to Frank and Donnie Minor Sapp, Cathy was of the Baptist faith, she attended several churches. Cathy loved to read and quilt making. She especially loved spending time with her family, especially her grand kids and her two new great grand kids. Cathy loved seeing new places; her favorite trip was Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Survivors include her daughter; Regina Davis (Keith) and two sons; Jessie Nelms (Mandy) and Rickey Nelms, six grandchildren; Natasha Osborn, Lucas Osborn, Dakota Nelms, Ashley Nelms, Jacob Nelms and Hannah Nelms, two great grandchildren; Kylan and Graclie Nelms, eight siblings; Wendell Sapp (Jennie), Denford Sapp, Kenneth Sapp, James Sapp, Glen Johnson, Maline Nelms, Linda Decatur and Doris Sapp (Way) . Cathy comes from a large family and there is to many to list,

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother; Roger Sapp.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Osborn, Lucas Osborn, Dakota Nelms, Jimmy Alderidge, Paul Decatur and Jacob Nelms.

The family extends special thanks to Dale and Sharon Cottingham for all the love, support and assistance. They stayed with my sweet Momma intil the paramedics and coroner arrived. You both are truly a blessing to us. Thank you so much.
