Chasity Murphy

Chasity Lane Murphy, 48, of Town Creek, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Bro. Andy Corbett officiating. Burial will be at Belew Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on May 21, 1976 to James and Mitzie Butler Murphy, Chasity graduated from Camden County High School in Kings Bay, Georgia. She attended the Lawrence County Dream Center Church in Town Creek.

Survivors include her son, Lane Reese Kirby; father, James Murphy; sister, Tonia (Ricky) Terry; brothers, Derek (Heather) Murphy, Jeremy Whitehouse, Tyler Murphy; stepfather, Bill Whitehouse; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Chasity was preceded in death by her mother, Mitzie Whitehouse; maternal grandparents, Buford and Gladys Butler; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Margie Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Brandon Terry, Jacob Terry, Robert Murphy, Bradley Sanders, Doug Hice, and Scottie Butler.
