Christy Sylvester

Christy Johnson Sylvester, 46, of Huntsville passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 12 noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at noon with Brandon Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Bald Knob Cemetery.

A former student at Lawrence County High School, Christy loved animals and worked as a dog groomer.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Dickall; children, Leigh-Ann Naverette (Robert), and Brandi Terry (Gregory Griffin); grandchildren, Mia and Ella Naverette and Gabriel Carr; mother, Sally Johnson; father, Bobby Johnson; brothers, Darryl Johnson (Megan), John Johnson (Angie), and Bobby Johnson, Jr. (Cecilia); sister, Kelly Hastings (Chris); two nieces, five nephews, 4 great-nephews, five great-nieces, and five dogs.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jimmy Johnson; grandmother, Ruby Price; grandmother, Gertrude Lentenbrink.

Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Chris Hastings, Justin Demastus, Adam Demastus, Gregory Griffin, and Trey Lapomarel. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Dickall and Robert Naverette.

The family extends special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a New Leash on Life in Huntsville.
