Cullie Thompson

Cullie Michael Thompson, 69, of Cullman, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life gathering will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Born on August 29, 1954 in Moulton to the late Cullie and Elsie Nelson Thompson, Cullie enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, reading and collecting old books.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Rita Thompson; brothers, Mark Thompson, who acted as Cullie's caregiver, and Kipp Thompson; and several cousins and extended family, including his four legged babies, Sally the mean Dachshund, Chip the little loud Yorkie, and his rescue Shepherd, Jesse.

Cullie was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clint Thompson.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Melinda Hart, the staff at Woodland Nursing Facility and Cullie's nurses at Cullman Regional for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Humane Society or Animal Shelter.
