Donnie Wells

Donald Edward Wells, 60, of Trinity, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at his home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Pace officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Garden.

Born on October 30, 1963 to James and Shirley Wilson Wells, Donnie loved deer and dove hunting. While one of his great passions was playing in the dirt working as a heavy machine operator building roads, he also loved spending time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Janice Wells; children, Elizabeth (John) Sanford, Jesse (Liz) Wells, Whitney (Tyler) Pitt, Austin (Abby) Wells, and Ivy Frost (Kylen Martin); grandchildren, Alicia (Alex), William, Clint, Daylen, Mylan, Remington, Kellen, Ava, Amelia, and Kingston; great-grandchildren, Asher, and Ainsleigh; sisters, Sheryl (Jerry) Lawson, and Darlene (Larry) Benschoter; brother, James Ray (Rhonda) Wells; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Wells.

Pallbearers will be John Sanford, Tyler Pitt, Kylen Martin, William Sanford, Clint Sanford, and Alex Dotson.

The family extends special thanks to Affinity Hospice and his nurses, Katie Holt and Tiara Rutland.
