Donna Hood

Donna Ligon Hood, 66, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Decatur Morgan Hospital Decatur, AL. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Brandon Kerby officiating. There will not be a public visitation. Burial will be at Fergason Cemetery in Town Creek.

Born on December 7, 1956, to Jimmy Ligon and Magdalene Bishop Ligon. Donna enjoyed camping, going to the lake, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and fulfilling her daily duty of neighborhood watch.

Survivors include her mother, Magdalene Bishop Johnson; one brother, Kenny Ligon; Two Nieces, Misty Brown (Brandon) and Kenya Williamson (Jacob); four great-nieces, Dagen Brown, Kenadie Harville, Rylan Harville, and Brystol Williamson; two great-nephews Braedon Brown (Claire) and Russell Brown.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Ligon; husband, Bobby Hood.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Brown, Jacob Williamson, Braedon Brown, Anthony Bishop, Heath Bishop, and Zach Parker.
