Doris Cross

July 4, 1931 — March 15, 2019

Doris Cross, 87, of Courtland passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at NHC of Moulton. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Steve Kelso officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memory Gardens.

Doris loved to collect antiques, sew quilts, gardening and canning.

Survivors include her sons, Carson Cross (Rosalie) and Rick Cross (Pam); daughter, Tonya Cross Myers; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Underwood, Jeanene Polombo, and Jeanette Gillespie; and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Cross; and parents, Ralph and Carrie Mae Hale Letson.

The family extends special thanks to everyone who helped care for Doris, especially Danielle and the staff at NHC.
