Mr. Edard Jeffreys Jr, 91, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Lawrence Medical Center in Moulton, AL of cardiac arrest. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Hardshell Cemetery in Town Creek, AL with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
He was born September 10, 1930, to Edard Jeffreys and Gladys Lowery Jeffreys of Wolf Springs, AL. He met the love of his life at Hatton High School. They married December 22, 1948, and graduated high school together in the Spring of 1949.
His vocation was operating cranes. One of the highlights of his career was helping lift the Shuttle Enterprise from a Boeing 747 for testing at Marshall Space Flight Center. He retired at age 63. He avidly enjoyed bird hunting and fishing and his family. His humorous outlook and dry sense of humor will be missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include his two children, David Jeffreys (Kim), and Edwina Bressette (Bernard); four grandchildren, JD Jeffreys (Whitney), Joshua Jeffreys, Chris Bressette (Misti), and Keri Bressette ; three great-grandchildren, Brayden and Kaylee Bressette, and Isla Jeffreys; two brothers, James Jeffreys (Bobbie), and Gary Jeffreys; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Edard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel Jeffreys; sister, Joyce Willis; parents; and grandparents.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family extends special thanks to Lawrence Health and Rehab and Lawrence Medical Center.
