Eva Tyler

Eva Dell Tyler, 83, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 03, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Cemetery.

Born on March 8, 1940, to John and Lola Borden Calhoun, Maw Maw Eva enjoyed her flowers, shopping, spending time with her daughters, and her many grandchildren. Eva also attended the Lighthouse Holiness Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Rozetta Pennington (Ricky) and Jannis Lawrimore; four grandchildren, Shannon West (Bonnie), Michael Pennington (Brooke), Kelly West (Clyde), and Curtis West (Jesse); eleven great-grandchildren, Mali Bryce Pennington, Devan West, Allen West, Chloe West, Draven West, Alexis Barnes, Harley Scott, Kaedance Larkins, Justin Sapp, Journey West, and Addison West; six great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lola Calhoun; husband of 44 years, Hershel Tyler; grandson, Tracy West; three brothers, Thomas Calhoun, Marshall Calhoun, and Leo Calhoun; and sister, Ruby Knight.

Pallbearers will be Michael Pennington, Shannon West, Curtis West, Devan West, Allen West, Draven West, Raleigh Barnes, and Joey Evans.

The family extends special thanks to Preferred Hospice of the Shoals and nurses, Sharon and Marsha.
