Freda Terry

Freda Jeanette Terry, 78, of Moulton passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. A graveside service will be at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Moulton Memory Gardens with Pastor Toney Pepper officiating. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mrs. Terry attended Lawrence County High School, where she was involved in many clubs and organizations including Varsity Cheerleader, Senior Class Treasurer, Annual Staff, Glee Club, Winner of the Civitan Oratorical Contest, and Miss LCHS her Senior year. She was a devout Christian, a member of Jones Chapel Congregational Christian Church. She served many roles in the church throughout the years.

An excellent cook, Mrs. Terry enjoyed entering many of her candy, cake, and canning recipes in the County Fair each year until her health deteriorated. She loved to make her awesome Peach and Apple Fried Pies for her family and special friends.

Survivors include her husband, Archie Dee Terry, Sr.; children, Laquitta Reeves (Jonathan) and Archie Dee Terry, Jr.; grandchildren, Jonathan Dwight Reeves (Lindsy); Jonah Brandon Reeves (Delia), Logan Seth Terry (Emily), Lucas Brock Terry, and Jordan Scott Reeves (Camry); great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Terry, Liberty Jaylynn Reeves, Julian Dillon Reeves; brother, Johnny Edwin Terry (Becky); and a host of nieces, nephews and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Dewey and Lela Bell Terry.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan D. Reeves, Jonah Reeves, Logan Terry, Luke Terry, Jordan Reeves and Larry Joseph Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Scottie Terry, Ronnie Terry, Ronald Terry, and Barry Patterson.

The family extends special thanks to all the physicians and nurses at Decatur Morgan Hospital and Southern Care Hospice who gave our loving mother the best possible care during her last days.
