Gena Owens

Gena Evette Owens, 59, of Moulton went to her heavenly home Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from  1:00 PM to  2:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at  2:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Davis officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Providence Cemetery in Town Creek, AL.

Born on December 20, 1962, to Silas and Mearl Mardis Jones, Gena enjoyed spending time with her family, writing poetry,  reading her bible, and sharing the gospel.

Survivors include her six children, Jamie England (Kevin), Amy Stewart (Phillip), Megan Owens (Shay), Adam Owens (Ashley), Nathan Owens (Karly), and Jamie Crosier (Stan);  eighteen  grandchildren, Gabby Case, Britney Case, Braxton Stewart, Natalie Stewart, Jasmine Stewart, Noah Stewart, Brooklynn Owens, Mason Owens, Indie Owens, Ramsey Osborn, Langston Osborn, Lexi Owens, Dawson Owens, Christian Smith, Ivy Smith, Ronin Crosier,  Willow Crosier, and soon to be newborn baby Osborn; one sister, Penny Davis (Ronald); four brothers, Roger Jones (Bonita), Eddy Jones, Bruce Jones(Linda), and Kent Jones; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Gena was preceded in death by her father, Silas Jones; mother, Mearl Jones; and one sister, Wendy Letson.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
