Gloria Smith

Gloria Diane Smith, 67, of Sheffield passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center. A graveside service is planned for Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Blackground Cemetery with Bro. Roger Lovelady and Bro. Rick Gilley officiating. Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery.

Diane was a Godly lady, Her whole life was built around God. She always put Him first in every thing she did. She loved her family, her church family, her friends and truly enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially the children. One of her greatest pleasures was playing the piano and singing God’s Praise. Diane never failed to Give God Thanks for every thing she had. She is loved by her family and friends and will truly be missed. Heaven gained a beautiful rose in God’s Garden the day He called Diane home.

Survivors include her sister; Sandra Black (Kenneth), two brothers; Leroy Smith (Hannah) and Bobby Smith, Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, her adopted sister; Dina Bunnell , her ballgame buddy; Patsy Sauls and her trusted puppy companion; Max, he always made every step Diane made.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Rev. Bennie and Christine Smith, one brother; Ben Smith (Elizabeth), one sister; Mary Frances Smith, a nephew; Greg Smith, a great great nephew; Jackson Easterwood.

Pallbearers will be Skylar Cannon, Gary Parker, Brandon Smith, Matt Smith, Lee Smith and Lonnie Carr.
