Gregory Heflin

Gregory Kent Heflin, 60, of Loosier Community in Town Creek, Alabama passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at River City Center in Decatur, AL. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home with his friends and family officiating. Burial will be at Loosier Church of Christ in Town Creek.

Born on April 26, 1964, to Thomas and Ida Terry Heflin. Greg was baptized at Loosier Church of Christ. He was an avid fan of The University of Alabama sports programs. Greg was a lover of country music, enjoyed making new friends everywhere he went, and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his three sisters, Iola (the Late James) Vanderford, Sheila (Ernie) James, and Shelby (The Late Hillard) Tidwell; four brothers, Wendall (Susan) Heflin, Kenny (Theresa) Heflin, Thomas (Cheryl) Heflin, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Heflin; sister-in-law, Jeanette Heflin; and twenty-four nieces and nephews, forty-one great nieces and nephews; and six great-great nieces and nephews.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ida Heflin; two brothers, Larry Heflin and Johnny Heflin; three sisters, Sherry Mierdierks, Ozella Oliver, and Jenny Stotts.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Vanderford, Anthony Heflin, Patrick Tidwell, Justin Stotts, Josh James, Nick James, and Jacob Heflin.

Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Heflin and J Micheal Heflin.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at River City Nursing Home, Southern Care Hospice, and special friend Warren Petro.
