Hester Parker

Hester Reeves Parker, 85, of Moulton passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at her home. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Lucky Teague and Steve Hood officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden.

Born on July 18, 1934 to the late Clyde and Luna Reeves, Hester graduated from Hatton High School in 1952. She was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a past member of the Lloyd O. Glenn Eastern Star Lodge #6. Hester was a published poet, excellent seamstress and devout Christian.

Survivors include her son, Michael Ross Parker (Soinja); daughters, Lisa Gaye Parker (Jon), and Sharon Kay Parker; grandchildren, Sarah Huff (Nick), Keisha Sawyer, Adam Ross Parker (Amber), Chelsia Purser (Kevin), Colton Parker Dunlap (Temple), Skyluer Williams (Jordan), and Alec Michael Hollaway (Byron); and many great-grandchildren.

Hester was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alton Troy Parker; brother, Clifford Ross Reeves; and grandson, Nick Sawyer.

Pallbearers will be Parker Huff, Nick Huff, Adam Ross Parker, Alec Hollaway, Jordan Miller, and Byron McKelvey. Honorary pallbearer is Colton Dunlap.
