Jacky Wilson

Jacky Thomas Wilson, 61, of Trinity passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Parkway Campus. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Mark Gillespie and Charles Rossen officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on August 29, 1962 to the late Jack and Polly Austin Wilson, Jacky was a member of the Holiness Independent Church of Jesus Christ in Hillsboro. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend who enjoyed being a cattle farmer and spending time with all of his animals. Above all, he was a simple man who loved his Lord and his family.

Survivors include his wife Donna of 34 years; son, Joshua Thomas Wilson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Thomas Wilson, Matthew Moody, Tyler Moody, Brody Moody, Lantz Wilbanks, and Jeff Wilbanks. Honorary pallbearer will be Harry Gillespie.

The family extends special thanks to all of the EMS responders and the nurses and staff at the Parkway Campus of Decatur General for their care for Jacky. In addition, to all of Jacky's church family and friends for their love and support shown to Donna and Josh during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jacky's church in his memory.
