James Alvie Brackin , 89 years old, Born November 5, 1927 in Town Creek and passed from this life Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at Town Creek Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the Church with Ralph Key officiating. Burial and a military service will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Brackin was a Retired Pharmacist from Brackin's Drug in Town Creek and was a veteran of the US Army and attended Town Creek Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Fred Brackin and Sara Odom Brackin, four brothers: R.O. Brackin, G. Fred Brackin,
Dr. O.D. Brackin and W.W. (Pie) Brackin, and two sisters: Ruby Greenhaw and Helen Royer.
Mr. Brackin is survived by his wife: Imogene Alexander Brackin, of Town Creek, two sons: Roger Brackin and his wife, Wanda and Phillip Brackin and his wife, Ellen, all of Town Creek, four grandchildren: Sam Brackin and his wife, Lori, of Town Creek, Kevin Brackin and his wife, Leanne of Chattanooga, Jennifer Knowlton and her husband, Charlie and Christy McCulloch and her husband, Blake all of Town Creek and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Sam Brackin, Kevin Brackin, Reggie Sprinkle, Johnny Pitts, Charlie Knowlton and Blake McCulloch.
