James Devan Dotson, 52, died August 10, 2020 from COVID complications. He was living in Fort Pierce, Florida at the time. James was cremated and will be buried with his parents at Raper Cemetery in Morgan County on June 19, 2021 at 1:00pm.
James loved to go fishing and had recently made his annual trip to the Florida Keys to fish night and day. He also enjoyed watching professional wrestling on TV. He can still be heard screaming at the TV, fully involved.
James loved his family and spent a lot of time with his father, Robert Eugene Dotson. He helped to care for his mother, Velier Martin Dotson when she became ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Dotson and Velier Martin Dotson; and a brother, John Leslie Dotson.
James is survived by brothers, Robert (Nora) Dotson and Johnny (Alicia) Dotson; niece, Alaina (Andy) Rector; and nephews, Kyle Dotson (Samantha Selema), Jonathan Howard, Matthew Boatwright, and Eric Exley.
James loved his family and loved his time spent in Alabama with his extended family. His wish would be for you to take some time today to connect with your family.
