James Lawrimore

James Herman Lawrimore, 84 years old of Mt. Hope passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Lawrence Medical Center.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home, the funeral will be Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM

in Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Freddie Childs and Wayne Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, 7317 County Line Road Leighton.

Mr. Lawrimore served 18 months for the Army in Korea from 1955 to 1957.  He retired from Pepsi Cola in 1997 after 35 years .  He worked 17 years at Shelton's/Terry's Jiffy Mart.

He is preceded in death by his parents:  Lonnie Jackson Lawrimore and Francis Parker Lawrimore, one brother: Sherman Lawrimore, three sisters: Elizabeth Free, Gladis Lawrimore and Mattie Sue Coan and one great grandson: Ian Brantley.

Mr. Lawrimore is survived by his wife: Delois Roden Lawrimore of Mt. Hope, three sons: Delton (Rita) Lawrimore, and Gary (Jan) Lawrimore both of Mt. Hope and Phillip (Lisa) Lawrimore of Town Creek,  8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Luc Lawrimore, Landon Lawrimore, Bradley Lawrimore, Wesley Lawrimore, Kelly Blankenship, Randy King, Payton Blankenship, Logan Blankenship and Boone Lawrimore.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Jones, Barry Patterson, Roman Nix and Tim Warren.
