James Moody "Jim"

James Emmett Moody, 86, of Wetumpka passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with OD Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Moody Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Lura Ann Moody; children, Rena C. Grubbs (Bernie), Timothy Moody (Jo), Samuel G. Moody (Carrie), and Jonathan Moody (Niki); step children, Charles Wesley Woodard and Lisa Gail Mosley; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and four sisters, Marie Brazel, Helen Waters, Joyce Rojem, Sandra Whatley.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Grady Moody, Sr.; and sons, James Emmett Moody, Jr. and Daniel Sherman Moody.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family extends special thanks to his caretakers, Beverly and Vince.
