Jimmie Borden

Jimmie Borden, 78, of Trinity passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Billy Borden officiating in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Russellville, Alabama.

Born February 25, 1942 to Boss and Mary Jane Martin Borden, Jimmie loved to fish, help people, play the lottery, work on cars and lawn mowers and sit around friends and drink coffee. He was a loving daddy, grandpa and great grandpa. He was the Rock of the family. Jimmie was retired from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 760.

Survivors include his three daughters, Dorothy Osborn (David), Lisa Borden Purser (Todd Cooley), and Cindy LouAllen (Andy) and one son, Troy J. Borden, two brothers, Orbie Borden and Roy Borden, one sister, Beulah Raines, eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Kirby, Lillian Kirby, Christina Kirby, Celeste Parden, Michael Purser, Torey Purser, Isaiah Schofield, and Candace Chaney, and eighteen great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Martin Borden and Rodney Borden, two granddaughters, Rachael Purser and Naquita Rollins and several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Seljuki and the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU Unit of Decatur Morgan Hospital.
