Jimmy Hopkins

Jimmy Hopkins, 70, of Mt. Hope passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Old Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Burial will be in Old Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mr. Hopkins was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Old Town Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Hopkins loved to hunt, fish and just be out in nature. He was a member of Newburg Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and going to the beach.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years; Becky Hopkins, one son; Heath Hopkins (Laura), one daughter; Stacy Bain, five grandchildren; Andrew Hopkins, Gracie Hopkins, Savannah Hopkins, Kaylee Bain and Sawyer Bain, and his stepfather; Phillip Danny Porter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Ray Hopkins and Frances Hopkins Porter.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Hopkins, Rodney Hopkins, Chase Hopkins, Greg Hopkins, Jordan Griffith, and Kevin Fischer.

The family extends special thanks to DCI, Moulton, Dr. Reginald Gladish, and every one that showed any kind of love and support during his time of need.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Town Creek Shoe Box Ministry or Gideons International.
