Jimmy Sawyer

Jimmy Wade Sawyer, 67, of Trinity, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Shane McGregor officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on November 19, 1956 to the late Jimmy and Sarah Rouse Sawyer, Jimmy enjoyed Alabama football, grilling, traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Lenda LouAllen Sawyer; sons, Shannon Sawyer, and Brian Sawyer; step-daughter, Tabitha (Wayne) Pace; grandchildren, LeAnne Pace, Wyatt Pace, and Caycie Jo Sawyer; brothers, Willie Sawyer, John Wesley Sawyer, and Jason Sawyer; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to the ICU nurses and staff at Decatur Morgan and Dr. Randy Buckner.
