John Lipsey, Sr.

John L. Lipsey, Sr., 81, of Moulton passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Visitation will be from 9 till 11 a.m. on Friday, October 16 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Landon Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on September 18, 1939 to the late James and Vivian Lipsey, John retired from Decatur Aluminum after 30 years. He enjoyed cutting grass and going to Lacon Trade Day.

Survivors include his children, Jenny Eady (Ricky), Candy Kelly, Johnny Lipsey (Angie), Heather Berryman (Heath); 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Annette Posey; brother, Wayne Overton; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna Sanderson, and Ruby Stanfield.

Pallbearers will be Heath Berryman, Chris Proctor, Rodney Proctor, David Proctor, Charles Proctor, Dale Proctor, and Larry Proctor.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at Comfort Care Hospice.
