Leon Ray

Leon Ray, 80, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at his residence. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 04, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery.

Born on November 30, 1942 to the late Clifton Ray and Gladys Flannigan, Leon loved horses, fishing, hunting, and most of all his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Betty Jo Ray; children, Nancy Barnett, Tommy (Tina) Ray, Chasity (David) Hannah, and Misty (Kenny) Ray; ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; and several other extended family.

Pallbearers will be Shane Hannah, Jeffery Barnett, Tommy Ray, Jr., Jeremy Barnett, Chris Barnett, Bradley Barnett. honorary pallbearers are Tommy Ray and David Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude's Childrens Hospital.
