Lois Brooks

Lois Brooks, 82, of Moulton passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at her residence. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Strickland and Bro. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

Lois loved to read, do word puzzles, work in her flowers and listen to gospel music. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved playing with Precious, Glenda’s dog. Everyone that knew her called her Sweet Mama, Lois loved everyone. She was a very special little lady and will truly be missed.

Survivors include her daughter: Glenda Vanderford (Dwight), Step Children; Jean Dutton (Mitchell) and Bobby Brooks (Sue), thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; James Brooks, daughter; Shelia Brooks, stepchildren; Patricia Appleton and James Edward Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Strickland, Blake Strickland, Brayden Garrison, John Dotson, Steven Mark Strickland and Keith Appleton.

The family extends a very special thanks to Hospice of the Valley for their love and care shown to our mother and grandmother. They had become family to her.
