Louise D. Meares, 78, of Courtland passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at ECM Hospital in Florence. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the funeral home chapel with Neal Fowler officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, R B Mears; sons, Steve Mears (Patricia) of Leighton, Joel Mears of Courtland, and Preston Mears (Jannett) of Courtland; grandchildren, Chris Jones, Angela Parker, Sarah White (Tommy), Melissa Moran, Christy Jones (Nathan), Misty Kelly (Patrick), Samantha Corbin (KC), Astian Mears, PJ Mears (Elizabeth), Dustin Mears (Vanessa), Ashley Romans (Matt), and Stephanie Richey (Eric); 36 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lizzie May Clark and Doris June Owens; and brother, Hershel Dutton (Alice).
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Ander and Nancy Dutton; sister, Dorthy Purser; daughter-in-law, Sherry Mears; son, Charles Ray Meares; and brother, Robert Dutton.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Parker, Ethan Parker, KC Corbin, Preston Mears, Jr., Patrick Kelly, Dustin Mears, Conner Jones, Astian Mears, and Cameron Jones.
