Lucille Meckert

Lucille Carpenter Meckert, age 92, of Smyrna passed away November 13, 2023 at The Waters of Smyrna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lucy Carpenter; her son, Donald Sharpton; her daughter Sheila Brynjelson; and 11 of her brothers and sisters. Lucille is survived by her sons Ralph (Chris) Sharpton and his wife Dawn of TN, Johnny Sharpton and his wife Bridget, of FL, her sister Louis Carpenter of FL and Zollie Carpenter of AL. Lucille leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lucille enjoyed spending time with friends and family and she always looked her best. She loved her family deeply and she will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home and placement will be at Mount Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation for immediate family will begin at 11am, other family and friends from 12-2 with services to immediately follow at 2pm.
