Maebelle Curry

Maebelle Curry, 91, of Town Creek passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at NHC in Moulton. Visitation will be from 5 till 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the funeral home with Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

A member of Old Town Creek Baptist Church, Mrs. Curry worked as a caretaker, sitter and nurse for many years. She worked at Lawrence Medical Center for 35 years as well as at NHC-Moulton. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her life.

Survivors include her children, Randell Curry and Ronald Curry (Margaret); grandchildren, Scott Curry (Katina), Jason Curry (Stacy), Amanda Curry, Tim Curry, Josh Curry (Annie), and Landon Curry; great grandchildren, Montana (Daniel Duke), Virginia, Aidan, Rylie, Briley, Luke, Levi, Lorelei, Trent, Tyson, Dakota, Paxton, Whit, Emmy, Chip, and Harper; and great-great granddaughter, Emmarie Duke.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wendell Curry and parents, Oliver and Mattie Rutherford Parker.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at NHC – Moulton and Hospice of the Valley for their care and to Tammy Garrison for all she has done.
