Martha Addison

Martha LaNell Addison, 91, of Trinity passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence. Visitation will be from 12:30 till 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with O.D. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Born in Brilliant, Alabama, LaNell attended Walker Junior College. She was a member of Moulton Church of Christ, enjoyed playing bridge, watching Auburn/Alabama football, golf, and spending time with her grand/great grandchildren. LaNell worked for South Central Bell for 16 years as an operator, she was a homemaker and worked for the Lawrence County Hospital Lab. She was an avid reader, had a witty sense of humor and was a lifelong learner.
Survivors include her husband of 75 years, Stacy J. Addison, Sr.; sons, Jim (Judy) Addison and David (Joan) Addison; grandchildren, Matt (Jennifer), Blake, Emily and William (Nok); great-grandchildren, Bryant, Keslie, Alanna, Hayden and Wyatt; nieces and nephews, Gene (Sharron) Dickinson, Bob (Connie) Dickinson, Gary Addison, JoAnn (Billy) Hollingsworth, Shelby (Truitt) Allison, Audra (Bill) Harbin, Paula Woodall and Carol Graydon (Mike).
LaNell was preceded in death by her parents, Delton and Bessie Bostick; brothers, Louie and Joe; sisters, Pauline Tente and Ruby Dickinson, nieces, Ann Dickinson and Gina Finley; and nephews, Bill Dickinson and Allen Bishop.
Pallbearers will be Matt Addison, Blake Addison, William Addison, David Woodall, Don Henderson and Harold Preston.
The family wishes to thank LaNell’s caregivers, Bridget Parker and Amanda Curry; Hospice of the Valley, Dr. Chad McElroy and staff, CVS and Steve’s Pharmacies and their staffs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or a favorite charity.
