Louise Parker, 78, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, surrounded by her family at home. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 02, 2023, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Ben Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Town Creek, AL.
Born on August 24, 1944, to Ralph and Inez Allen Blankenship, Louise loved to collect unique jewelry and gemstones, any kind of plant or flower, and reading books about the pioneer days. She loved to spend time with her grandkids by completing nature scene jigsaw puzzles with them. She also loved fishing for catfish and crappie with Gordon in their pond in the back field. She loved all her nieces and nephews like they were her own. Even though she couldn't make it to church during her illness Louise made sure to never miss a church service on her iPad.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years Gordon Parker; three daughters, Andrea Stowe (Ron), Stacy Jackson (Jeffery) ,Crystal Logan (Trea); nine grandchildren, Devin Jackson (Kalin), Jake Stowe (Maci), Braden Jackson (AJ), Avery Rhea, Rachel Welch (Logan), Tristan Rhea, Linley Jackson, Nicholas Logan (Andrea), and Nathan Logan; seven great-grandchildren, Rhett Jackson, Marlee Jackson, Olive Jackson, Asher Cole, Zander Stowe, Hallie Logan, and Ryder Logan; one sister, Ann Keeton; three brothers, Danny Blankenship( Dianne), Ronnie Blankenship (Nancy), and Tim Blankenship; one brother-in-law, Randy Harris; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Inez Blankenship; and sister, Sandra Harris.
Pallbearers will be Devin Jackson, Jake Stowe, Braden Jackson, Tristan Rhea, Nathan Logan, Cole McMillan.
The family extends special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and Lana Oliver for their compassionate care and all the wonderful friends and family who visited and brought food during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hatton Church of Christ Building Fund.
