Marvin Dotson

Marvin Dwight Dotson, 68, of Moulton passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 till 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Oscar Ray Gray officiating. Burial will be in Raper Cemetery in Decatur.

Born on October 14, 1949 to the late Albert and Annie White Dotson, Marvin was a member of True Holiness Apostolic Church and loved riding the roads, collecting records and stamps and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Ann Overton Dotson; daughters, Tricia McDaniel (Sonny), Darlene Nolen (Brandon) and Lisa Perry (Tommy); one son: Buddy Mears (Deborah), 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Ray (Leon).

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gene Dotson, Henry Dotson, Leroy Dotson and Melton Dotson; and sister, Irene Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Justin Perry, Chris Green, Austin Green, Andrew McDaniel, Justin Brown, Matthew McDaniel, and Joseph Perry. Honorary pallbearer is Elvis Overton.
