Melba Ashley

Melba Earline Ashley, 75, of Moulton passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her residence. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral home. The funeral service will immediately follow with Bro. Charles Williams and Bro. Jamie Suggs officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Ashley was a member of Pleasant Ridge Holy Church of Christ, a member of the Happy Sounds Quartet for twenty three years, a minister’s wife of 50 years and loved to sing and play the piano.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Waymon Ashley, two daughters; Jean Crawford (Gordon) and Tina Hill (Terry), five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, two sisters; Shirley Henson and Frances Stockberger, her stepmother; Joan Posey and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Elizabeth Jones and William Posey.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jackson, Ian Jackson, Ray Henson, Josh LouAllen, Lauren Greene and Wayne Ashley. The Honorary Pallbearer is Jeff Ashley.
