Melbalene Berryman

Melbalene Smith Berryman, 93, of Town Creek passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at her home. Visitation will be from 5 till 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the funeral home with Bro. Bertis Ray and Bro. Hollis Retherford officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.

Born on April 2, 1926 to the late Roy and Vennie Smith, Melbalene was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Tip Berryman (Melissa), Don Berryman (Linda), and Debbie Veal (Stan); daughter-in-law, Sandra Berryman; grandchildren, Danny, Mike, Tracy, Tara, Taffy, Jeremy, Jenn, Angela, Christy; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Sterlin Smith (Faye); and several nieces and nephews.

Melbalene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rubert Berryman; son, Daulton Berryman; brothers, Terrell Smith, Royce Smith and Kyle Smith; and sister, Marcelene Franks.

Pallbearers will be Keith Veal, Danny Berryman, Mike Berryman, Tyler Veal, Jeremy Berryman, Cody Berryman, Dylan Nix, Jordan Parker, Elijah McAbee, Nathan Berryman, and Blitz Johnson.

The family extends special thanks to Ms. Ruth Dawson, Joyce Dawson, Betty Kerby and the staff of Shoals Hospice.
