Michael Boyles

Michael Thomas Boyles, 63, of Trinity passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Jamin Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Owens Chapel Cemetery.

Born September 16, 1958 to Wayne and Dolores Summers Boyles, Michael graduated from Decatur High School in 1976. He served his country in the US Army from 1981 to 1985. He loved his country and was very proud of his Military Service. Michael accepted the Lord as his Savior around 1970. He was a strong fighter and had determination to beat cancer, he fought from May 2017 until his last breath.

Survivors include his daughter: Jessica Martinez, six grandchildren; Austin Boyles, Henry Martinez, A.B. Martinez, Isaiah Martinez, Chevy Clinard and Karley Clinard, his mother; Dolores Summers Boyles, one sister; Anita Boyles, three brothers; Joel Boyles, Danny Boyles and Eddie Boyles.

He was preceded in death by his father; Wayne Boyles.

Pallbearers will be David Boyles, Larry Counts, Jamie Dutton, Ronnie Bishop, Anthony Bishop and Joel Boyles.

The family extends special thanks to the Staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital, ICU and PVC and the staff at Clearview Cancer Center and for the support of our friends and Church family. Her children would especially like to express their Thanks to their mother; Dolores Boyles. for her tireless love and care she gave during Michael’s battle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Gideons International.
