Michael Simpson

Michael Lee Simpson, 51, of Mount Hope, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Brandon Kerby officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

Born on April 3, 1973 to the late Leander and Joyce Burfield Simpson, Michael loved welding and was an avid Alabama football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Amanda Simpson; children, Michael Porter, Teresa Perez, and Faith Pryor; grandchildren, Taisley McClain, Tailyn Perez, Cooper Pryor, Lilliana Pryor, and Kian Pryor; brothers, Stevie Simpson, and Kevin Simpson; and niece, Tiffany (Cody) Tims.

Pallbearers will be Chase McDaniel, Dewayne Terry, Eric Simpson, Donnie Mitchell, Nicholas Minor, and James Bailey.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at North Alabama Medical Center for their wonderful care given to Michael.
