PFC Noah C. Reeves, 26, of Lawrence County was killed in action on December 6, 1944 in Vossenack, Germany during World War II. His remains were recently identified and returned home to his family on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Mr. Reeves will lie in state from 10 AM to 4 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home for anyone who would like to pay their respects. His graveside service will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Moulton Memory Gardens with Rev. Zach Terry officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on December 29, 1917 to the late Ed and Izoria Reeves, Noah enlisted on October 19, 1942 and served in the US Army during World War II.
Survivors include his nieces, Barbara Coffey of Moulton, Elaine Grissom of Florence, and Betty Duncan of Huntsville; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and extended family.
Other family members who have passed since his death are sisters, Effie Ligon, Evie Crisler, Ethel Berryman, Ola Hamilton, Ruby Reed, and Opal Grissom; brothers, Bluite Reeves, and Clayburn Reeves.
The family gives special thanks to all of the Military Representatives and Volunteers who have assisted with the identification process and Mr. Reeves' services.
