Oscar Dishon

Oscar Lewis Dishon, 46, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Rodney A. Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Garden.

Born on February 17, 1978 to the late L.D. and Lola Dishon, Oscar was a loved member of Berea Baptist Church, where he was always the "Birthday Boy". He loved riding horses and was an avid Alabama Fan - Roll Tide!

Survivors include his niece, Samantha (Rickey) Terry; nephew, Wade Coffey; great nephews, Koda and Killian Coffey; and Luna Terry.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lesia Coffey and her husband Ronnie.

Pallbearers will be Wade Coffey, Koda Coffey, Rodney Sparks, Isaiah Sparks, Brad Bass, Jeremy Alred.

The family extends special thanks to Rodney A. Sparks and his wife, Cassie for their love, support and care given to Oscar.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Special Olympics program in Oscar's name.
