Randall Lee Scott, 60, of Killen, AL passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Franciscan Health Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Kevin Black officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in the Saint Florian community.
A graduate of Deshler High School, Randall attended “The Bridge” in Florence. He earned a mechanic certificate in the US Army and was a master carpenter by trade. Randall enjoyed local high school and college football and was an avid Alabama fan. He loved watching his many nieces’ and nephews’ school activities. Most of all, Randall enjoyed time with his family, eating meals together, and a good game of Aggravation.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Scott; children, Randa Bianco, Megan Lang (Jacob), Courtney Davis (Timmy), Branden Turpen, Kayla Smith (Robert); grandchildren, Jami, Blaze, Emma, Marley, Layla, Carter, Taylin, Arian, Kinsley, Brailee, Kelsey, and Brayden; father, Robert Scott (Tina); brothers, Ricky Scott (Bonnie), Tony Scott (Debora), Tim Scott (Traci), Andy Whitehead (Nancy), Bobby McMurtrey (Alese); sisters, Angela Simpson (Carl), Melissa Ragsdale (Vic), Eva Scott, Angel Klyce (Will), and Robin Capsopoulos; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Randall was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Eloise McMurtrey; grandparents, Dred and Violet Mae Peden and Sam and Eva Scott; nieces, Amber Tucker and Haylie Murray; and nephew, Jordan Craft.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Murray, Coby Fuller, Charlie Hendrix, Vinnie Phillips, and John Martin. His brothers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The Scott family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone that has gone out of their way to call, text, or message words of comfort. They would also like to offer their gratitude to those who have gone above and beyond to make this difficult time a little less stressful and burdensome.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any VA Nursing Home in Randall’s memory.
