Randy Wayne Hill, 66, of Moulton passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Wayne Turner and Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Liberty United Methodist Cemetery.
Born on August 7, 1956 to Raymond Oran and Katie Terry Hill, Randy retired from General Motors and was always at the ball field with his grandkids. Some believe he coached every kid in Lawrence County. Randy was known as a reliable and helpful friend, willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Before the passing of his dad in 1995, Randy promised that he would take care of his mom, and he did.
Survivors include his mother, Katie Terry Hill; children, Heather Hill (Will), and Dusty Hill (Chelsia); special friend, Betty Hand; spouse, Angela; step-sons, Hunter Kelsoe, and Forrest Kelsoe; grandchildren, Ty Hill, Aundrea Boyd and one on the way; step-granddaughters, Randi Kelsoe, Avery Rea Kelsoe, and Kellan Ruth Kelsoe; great-grandson, Keydan Rice; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Randy is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Oran Hill; and brothers, Bobby Oran Hill, and Roger Dwight Hill.
Pallbearers will be Greg Blankenship, J J Hill, Jerry Hopkins, Ricky Segars, Jim Roberts, Bobby Terry. Honorary Pallbearers are Donald Reding, Steve Wiley, Willie Allen, Roy Kirby, Benji Terry, and Lt. Kyle Watson.
The family extends special thanks to Benji Terry and everyone who helped while Randy was in the hospital.
