Ray Pennington Jr. 79, of Courtland AL passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Courtland Baptist Church Courtland AL The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the church with Scottie Letson officiating. Burial will be in Courtland City Cemetery. Ray was born October 8, 1938. He was married to his wife Carolyn for 27 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather he is loved by his family and will be deeply missed. He served in the Air Force for 4 years as a radar repair man while stationed in Germany, served in the National Guard for 3 years, he was a man of many talents with many different skills.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn Reding Pennington, daughters: Rhonda Hughes (Stacy), Connie Watkins, grandchildern: Chase Hughes, Dylan Hughes, Lane Watkins, Amberly Hughes, Trace Watkins and Kayla Watkins, great grandchildren Easton Potter. Brothers Randy Pennington (Darlene), Enos Pennington (Beverly), Robert Pennington (Diana), sisters Rita Hirshey, Ruth Ann Ward, Nancy Salisbury (Donald), Emily Reeb (John), Edna Burns (Doug), Ramona Carr (Denny), and Ella Pennington. Host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray Pennington Sr. and Elizabeth Baker Pennington, brother a Brad Pennington, brother n laws Kenneth Hirshey, and Glenn Ward.

Pallbearers will be : Chase Hughes, Dylan Hughes,Lane Watkins, Trace Watkins, Kole Potter, Quadre Reedus.
